PRESS RELEASE – For Immediate Release
LINO LAKES, MN – Sharetec System, core technology made simple, announces C&WJ Credit Union in Kingston, Jamaica, signs with Sharetec Core to be their new banking system.
“Our credit union went through a detailed 2-year review process in our efforts to find a robust banking platform that will allow us to offer the technology services members are demanding in the marketplace. We also wanted a partner that has our same vision for advanced technology. The board unanimously voted to move to Sharetec and we are excited to get our credit union in position to maintain our steady growth,” comments Carlton Barclay, General Manager of C&WJ Credit Union.
C&WJ Credit Union will be utilizing much of Sharetec’s robust system, including the multi-currency functionality, the workflow management system to enable the hundreds of daily loan applications to go through the right steps for review, real-time fraud monitoring, and real-time member alerts. Sharetec’s mobile banking will also drive the member growth.
Matt Isger, Regional Director for Sharetec, comments, “With many other banking systems in the running, C&WJ Credit Union selected Sharetec after a detailed review and visits to other Sharetec Credit Unions who shared with them their success making the switch to Sharetec. We are excited to welcome another Caribbean credit union to the Sharetec family, and see great things happening for a successful future for the credit union and its members.”
With more than 87,000 members and $96 million (USD) in assets, C&WJ Credit Union has been serving members of Jamaica and the Diaspora for more than 50 years and now has 18 full-service branch locations.
