River Community CU Selects Sharetec Over Six Other Core Systems

LINO LAKES, MN – Sharetec, one of the fastest growing core systems, is pleased to announce River Community Credit Union (CU) in Ottumwa, IA, has selected Sharetec to be their next core system. Sharetec was chosen after an extensive review of six other core systems.

Following their extensive review, River Community CU’s decision to select Sharetec also came from multiple demonstrations and a number of phone calls to Sharetec customers. The credit union will be taking advantage of Sharetec products like Online Member Services, ACH Origination, and Remote Deposit Capture. This will help them increase their membership growth and offerings to their members.

River Community Credit Union has been serving its members since 1928. In the beginning, eleven men started the Credit Union with C J Morrow as its Founder. The Credit Union was open only to the U.S. Postal Service workers and was known as the Ottumwa Postal Employees Credit Union. Due to the ever-increasing satisfied members, Ottumwa Postal Employees Credit Union opened to the surrounding communities and changed its name to River Community Credit Union in 2000. In 2002, River Community Credit Union was very pleased to welcome the merger of the Ottumwa Railroad Employees Credit Union.
