Meet Our Team: Nathan Billings
Sharetec cannot function without solid infrastructure, and our Infrastructure Engineers design, implement and maintain our physical and cloud-based environments. From Chattanooga, TN, meet Nathan Billings (and his dog, Pumpkin), our newest Infrastructure Engineer (and furry assistant).
Nathan comes to Sharetec with a substantial background in financial technology, having previously held multiple DevOps Engineering and technician roles for OrthoFI and OrthoBanc, as well as Amazon and Dell. Although he hadn’t previously worked in the credit union industry, Nathan was drawn to Sharetec because he has been a strong supporter of his local credit union for over a decade and “…will never go back.” His position at Sharetec allows him to “…learn more about how this unique part of the industry and its inner systems work.”
Having worked with financial processing and practice management software in the dental industry, Nathan has had the opportunity to troubleshoot and support complex interconnected systems and software. This has enabled him to learn more about security and reliability, which will be extremely useful at Sharetec, where he will be focused on infrastructure and security. A goal of his at Sharetec is to make sure audits go as smoothly as possible and to help detect problems before Sharetec customers feel the impact.
