Every month, Sharetec is pulling back the curtain on what's happening inside Sharetec's Product organization. We sat down with Sharetec's Director of Product, Mitch Allen, to get the details straight from the source: what's shipped, what's next, and how customer feedback is shaping the roadmap.
Sharetec continues to focus on a design-led approach. The company recently hired a product designer from a large digital-only credit union. Her industry knowledge and ability to improve UX design is expected to have a great impact on Sharetec customers.
Sharetec builds its roadmap by gathering and combining customer input from many sources. They’ve been taking feedback from the Customer Portal as well as in-person and phone interviews, and building its backlog from this on top of requests that have already been submitted. In a recent meeting in Fort Wayne, the Sharetec team was able to start crafting the next two years of product direction driven by customer needs.
Dan's vision and drive are deeply instilled into Sharetec's culture, and the Sharetec team is committed to carrying his legacy forward. One of the things Dan asked Mitch when he first joined was to ensure customer needs are met and to build the right products. This vision is being taken forward as Sharetec’s north star. Mitch has a passion for the customers and the credit union mission of “people helping people,” which aligns with Dan's wishes. Dan will, of course, be deeply missed, and his 39 years with the company will never be replaced. The Sharetec team wishes him every happiness as he begins his retirement, and will always remember how he felt about the customers as Sharetec looks toward improving its product.
What's next on the list? Getting OPN and Neural Payments into beta testing is Sharetec’s top priority right now. Defining and designing improved new account workflows and instant account transfers are next on the docket.
Yes, the Customer Portal gives customers a view into the roadmap. There's also a place for customers to add feedback and requests, and the product team reviews these constantly. They'll be adding to and enriching this process as they evolve. If you have questions or want to be more directly involved in feedback groups, like user experience and roadmap discussions, reach out to your client account executive or contact Support.
