Surveys show that mobile apps are getting big in Texas.

“Thirty-three percent of respondents now use mobile apps on a smartphone or tablet, up from 20% two years ago and 7% in 2009, according to SWACHA–The Electronic Payments Resource, a Dallas-based not-for-profit payment association with about 1,100 financial institution and other clients across the Southwest.

More and more of the credit union CEO’s are seeing the increase in members relying on being mobile. Mobile apps are gaining popularity and offers the convenience that members are looking for. Such as checking balances and remote deposit capture on the go.

SWACHA released the results of its 2013 survey on Thursday at its inaugural Executive Leadership Payments Summit in Dallas.”
